Betting System

Summary

Arenas and Fight Clubs (both Nomos and KoS) have now a Betting Machine, to be used for fight tournaments. It may also be used for bike races, camel races, etc.

One person is the referee, and will earn 5% of all the bets.

All G$ payouts are processed in the individual bank accounts. Before placing bets, make sure to check your balance in the bank/ATM/Money lender machine.

Setup

A person (usually the manager of the Arena or Fight Club) acts as referee.

If you are the referee, please touch the machine and choose “SETUP”.

Then click on “Add” to add the names of the fighters to it.  They could be the fighters of the individual fights, or the fighters for the whole tournament. Keep in mind that allowing bets on the individual fights is likely to be more profitable for you. Max number of players: 50. Use the full names – machine is smart, but not *that* smart.

If you make a mistake, click on “Remove” and remove a name of a player.

When all names are added, please click on “START”.

If you don’t click on “START”, the betting will start automatically after 30 minutes.

Betting

Now the audience may place bets on fighters.

If you wish to bet, touch the machine and pick a name from the list.

Then pick an amount from the menu. Note: this amount will be withdrawn from your bank account. If you don’t have enough cash in the bank, the amount will be reduced.

You will receive a confirmation that your bet was placed.

Once all bets are in, the referee should touch the machine and click on “STOP”. It will stop people from placing more bets.

Now the fight may starts.

Ending

Once the fight has ended, the referee should click on the machine and pick the winner from the list.

This will process all winnings and losses in the back-end in everybody’s bank account.

If there is a tie, or the fight is annulled, he should click on “VOID”. And all money transactions will be annulled.

Referee earns 5% on all the bets. It means if the total bets were G$ 10,000, his commission was G$ 500, and that will also deposit in his bank account.

If everybody wins and nobody loses, then there won’t be any payouts.

If everybody loses, the referee will still make 5% of the total bet.

If the referee doesn’t pick any winner or “void” the fight, the machine will stay idle and automatically void all bets after 3 hours.
